Having a balanced life is especially important for students in this modern challenging world! Students often are stressed with exams, academic competition, and pressure from peers and parents. The practise of mindfulness and meditation focuses on what is happening in the present rather than thinking about the past or future. Many schools are now adopting mindfulness in their curriculum, especially for younger age groups. Regular practice of meditation and mindfulness rather than relying on your emotions and the past can improve academic productivity and performance in school. As simple as taking a few long breathes every day or emptying your mind and relax can go a long way!

Reduce stress and anxiety- Meditation gives students a fresh and clear mind, ability to think in a more relaxed way. Allowing students to focus on the moment rather than jumping from thought to thought. It also helps promote positive emotional thinking and ease student’s internal stress. For example: self-doubt, lack of confidence, and rigid thinking.

-
Improves memory – When you have the ability to focus and actively listen during lessons and pay better attention to the present, the information your memory process will be improved. Your notes will no longer be random scribbles because you have mindfully written them down and successfully retaining the new information.
