Quintessentially Foundation has focused on a number of educational and humanitarian charities throughout the years. We believe that every child, wherever they are in the world, has the right to a quality education so that they can reach their full potential, and below are some examples of the amazing charities that have benefited from our fundraising:
Room to Read
Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children across Asia and Africa by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working with local communities, partner organisations and governments, they develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children. They also support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.
In total, we have donated £229,719 to Room to Read’s projects in both Zambia and Nepal, enough to help 6,000 children to gain the lifelong gift of education.
“Room to Read would like to say a huge thank you for your partnership as we work together to promote literacy and gender equality in education, giving more children the opportunities they deserve. Quintessentially Foundation’s investment has provided a tremendous gift to this community that will be used by hundreds of children over the years ahead.”
Place2Be provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools, building children’s resilience through talking, creative work and play. Place2Be works with 282 primary and secondary schools, reaching a school population of 116,000 children, helping them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.
We donated over £50,000 to Place2Be in 2015 alone.
Greenhouse Sports is a London-based charity committed to using sport to help young people living in the inner city realise their full potential. Their coaches work full time in schools and the community to provide outstanding sports programmes that nurture Social, Thinking, Emotional and Physical (STEP) skills to equip young people for life.
We have donated over £216,000 and counting to Greenhouse Sports.
