“The importance of outreach and bursaries in education” with guest speaker Sarah Fletcher, Head of City of London School – hosted by Quintessentially Education in conjunction with Finito
Sarah Fletcher is one of the most dynamic Heads in UK education today. She passionately believes in bursaries, which have the power to transform lives, instilling ambition and opening doors to future careers that otherwise would have remained closed. An ardent supporter of engaging in outreach, whether it is partnering or sponsoring another school, the independent sector has a powerful role to play in working with different communities and schools to raise standards and bring opportunity to as many young people as possible. Those on bursaries bring with them an enthusiasm for learning that rubs off on everyone in school. Their presence helps all our pupils to develop greater sensitivity and social awareness giving them a window on the realities of life. We are incredibly fortunate to have Sarah here to speak to us, prior to her significant move to become High Mistress of St Paul’s Girls School.
